Blown away in Buxton

Rich was keen for a trip to the village of Buxton after seeing it online. So we ventured into the Peak District to this lovely town. The Pavilion Gardens was our perfect destination with an amazing playground in the most exquisite setting. The playground also had an 'Xerscape' which is workout equipment for adults to exercise on while the children play. Such a brilliant idea. There was also the all important miniature train running around the gardens which is all the boys think about once they found out it was there. Plus there was a market. Yes another awesome market with beautiful homemade goodies and treats. I have posted photos this time for my special friend who enjoys looking at scrummy kai. You will notice from the pictures it was very windy and so so cold this day. I think it was around 6-8 degrees in Buxton. We would have loved to stay longer but the cold got to me especially so we took refuge in our little Skoda and headed home.

  1. How do you stop yourselves from gorging on all those yummy homebaked things!?!?! I took Cadell to Mavis & Co (we must go there when you are home) and we got a giant chocolate meringue, though of you as we devoured it. But actually the thought of it and the look of it were probs better than the actual taste. The last time I had meringue and fresh cream was in Gruyere Switzerland, the cream is gooood there.

Do you think the landscapes will ever bore you? It really is beautiful isn't it, your photos are amazing. Quaint little brooks and bridges, lush green meadows and trees. We are only just turning green here after some cooler weather and a bit of rain.

I hope it does warm up for you soon, I'm sure it will make your adventures that much more enjoyable. xxx
